Train

There is an excellent rail service that takes you within a mile of the office and to the town center. Falmouth is on a branch line from the main line. The main line runs from London to Penzance on the tip of the peninsula. You will need to get off at Truro and change to the branch line for falmouth.
Sleeper Train
www.firstgreatwestern.com
Every night there is a sleeper train from London Paddington to Truro. It departs at just after 23:30 but you can get onto the train earlier. It is around £40 for a bed and you get woken up with coffee and breakfast. It is a great way to squeeze in a weekend away from the city without wasting time travelling.
Fly
Our local airport is Newquay which is a 45 minute drive away. We are happy to arrange a collection (for a fee) as the public transport is not great to Falmouth from the airport.
Exeter airport is 2 hours away by car or rail and is a good option and has more flights.
Bristol has alot of cheap flights. You will need to get a bus from the airport to Bristol train station where you will be able to get a train to Falmouth with 2 changes. This takes around 4 hours in total.
Heathrow is convenient as the Heathrow Express takes you to Paddington, where the direct train to Cornwall, including the sleeper, departs from. It is a 5 hour train journey from Paddington.
Gatwick has a rail link and so you can change at Reading to get onto the London to Cornwall line.
Stanstead is a bit of a hassle as you have to get the Stanstead Express to liverpool St Station then the tube to Paddington then the train. If there are cheap flights, it still may be worth the extra journey.
There are many airlines that operate, but here are a few and where they fly.
Ryan Air – Bristol, Stanstead
Easy Jet – Bristol, Gatwick, Luton, Stanstead and (Newquay – Liverpool)
SAS – Heathrow
Fly Be – Newquay, Exeter
Bus
There are a lot of cheap buses around the UK and you can find details on the links below. They are not as fast as the rail and are dependent on traffic. They are however, cheaper than the trains.
